Jointed aluminium shaft for TA01/DF01

The JR-TA100-DB aftermarket main drive shaft assembly is produced as a direct-replacement alternative to the single-piece steel shaft commonly used on TAMIYA TA01/DF01 models, finished in blue anodised aluminium with a precision joint. It is intended for RC drivetrain maintenance, component replacement, and setup adjustments.

Compatibility targets TA01 and DF01 chassis; confirm gearbox interface and clearances against your existing drivetrain pieces before fitting. The joint allows necessary travel while maintaining drive continuity between gearbox and wheels in typical TA01/DF01 suspension layouts.

Durability notes: aluminium construction reduces weight and resists corrosion but inspect the joint and bearing surfaces periodically for wear. Ensure mating faces in the gearbox are clean and free of debris to preserve service life.

Tuning perspective: JR-TA100-DB can be used when refreshing worn parts or when experimenting with rotational characteristics as part of setup work; replace the shaft if any looseness appears at the joint to maintain reliable handling performance.

Items arrived exactly as I ordered and in good time. Very happy with RcJaz products.
The shaft is aluminium with an anodised finish; it offers corrosion resistance and lighter weight, but regular inspection of the joint and contact areas is advised to detect wear early.
Aluminium can slightly alter rotational inertia; changes are usually minor for typical TA01/DF01 setups, but monitor drivetrain feel after fitting JR-TA100-DB.
Check the joint and mating surfaces during routine maintenance and after any heavy impacts; replace the shaft if you notice excessive play or surface degradation.
