F104 Series Soft Compound Front Tyres

Produced for the Tamiya F104, F104X1 and F104 Version II models, these soft rubber front tyres are shaped to match the standard foam wheel profile. They are compatible with parts 54400 (F104 Metal Plated Wheels) and 51378 (F104 Spare Wheels Set) and are aimed at improving steering response on both carpet and asphalt race surfaces.

Fitment Guidance and Setup Tips

These tyres give the Tamiya 1031 F1 a grippier front end for sharper turn-in and better cornering control. When fitting, place the supplied foam insert inside the tyre so it sits smooth and even. Drill a 2mm hole in every wheel to allow air to escape and form the required air gap. Mount the tyre from the wheel's outer face, align the sidewalls, then apply CA glue around the rim edge and let it dry fully before use.
