The Tamiya 12033 Renault RE-20 Turbo model reproduces the defining features of Renault's turbocharged F1 car in 1/12 scale. It echoes the machine that triumphed at the 1980 Brazilian, South African and Austrian Grands Prix and represents the V-6, 1.5-litre twin-turbo powerplant that produced around 520 horsepower. The kit includes photo-etched items to sharpen the look of the radiator, intercooler, oil cooler and brake discs.

The RE-20 is recognised for aerodynamic measures such as inverted rear wings and side skirts designed to increase ground effect.
