The Tyrrell P34 is remembered for its radical six-wheel concept that challenged conventional F1 design. Created by Derek Gardner to reduce aerodynamic drag through smaller front tyres, it first ran at the 1976 Spanish Grand Prix and later achieved podium-level performances with drivers like Jody Scheckter and Patrick Depailler at the Swedish Grand Prix.
Tamiya's 1/12 scale interpretation captures the P34's distinctive mechanics. The kit reproduces the unique front suspension layout, while the engine area includes realistic tubing and ignition lines. Synthetic rubber tyres and finely etched metal parts, including brake discs and radiator grilles, enhance the finished model's authenticity.
