Tamiya 15458 Rear Brake Set for Precision Mini 4WD Tuning

The Tamiya 15458 Rear Brake Set enhances the braking options for Mini 4WD cars built on the AR chassis. The pack contains a skid-angled brake plate, adapters, brake sponges and a range of spacers to let hobbyists adjust the brake geometry. Moving the mounting points changes how the brake engages the track, so you can tune behaviour for jumps, tight bends and grassy track sections.

Compatibility Notes and Main Benefits

Designed to fit AR and Super II chassis directly, the set can also be fitted to MS, Super X, Super XX, Super TZ-X and VS chassis with the addition of a separately sold FRP plate. The included spacers make it simple to change braking clearance and fine tune handling without major rebuilds.

Can I use this on a Super II chassis?

Yes, the brake set mounts to Super II chassis as well as AR chassis. No extra parts are required for Super II installation.

What do the brake sponges do?

Brake sponges provide a predictable contact surface and help modulate stopping force. Different sponge firmness and position change how abruptly the car slows under braking.

Is the FRP plate included for other chassis types?

The FRP plate needed to adapt the set to MS, Super X, Super XX, Super TZ-X and VS chassis is sold separately. Check compatibility before ordering the adapter plate.
