The Tamiya 18071 - 1/32 JR Saint Dragon Premium kit revives the recognizable Saint Dragon body on the more compact VS chassis. Originally introduced in 1989, this version keeps the original visual cues while integrating improvements that suit current Mini 4WD racing. The body is produced in Pearl White and is matched with Fluorescent Orange wheels for high visibility on the circuit.
The VS chassis is prized for its light weight and tight footprint, which helps the car react responsively through bends and stay stable at speed. Molded from ABS plastic in Metallic Gray, it is compatible with a wide range of upgrade parts. Included in the kit are low friction rollers and a Type 130 motor, with a 4.2:1 gear ratio that balances acceleration and top-end speed for contest use.
Hobbyists can use the new sticker sheet to tailor the Saint Dragon Premium's appearance, and further Grade-Up Parts are available separately for improved performance. The platform is suitable for both display builds and focused race preparation, offering straightforward options for tuning and visual customisation.
