The Tamiya Super Avante Jr. channels racing intent in a compact form, courtesy of designer Kota Nezu. Drawing from the full-scale R/C Super Avante, this Mini 4WD showcases smaller front fenders that improve its aerodynamic flow on technical layouts.
The ABS resin shell comes in a vivid blue and is mounted on a black VZ chassis. The model includes a removable canopy and a separate rear wing, and the front inboard suspension panel can be taken off for easy repairs or styling changes.
The VZ chassis is designed to be light yet reinforced around the bumper and rear stay base to withstand racing stress. It uses low-friction 620 plastic bearings to reduce drivetrain losses and ships with a 3.5:1 gear ratio tuned for balanced performance.
Owners can fit a broad range of Grade-Up Parts to tailor the car to their track. Typical upgrades include higher torque or higher RPM motors, different tyres, and gear sets to tweak acceleration and top speed.
With its aerodynamic shell and modular VZ chassis, the Tamiya Super Avante Jr. (VZ) offers a versatile foundation for hobbyists who enjoy tuning and racing Mini 4WD models.
