Streamlined Off-Road Aesthetics

The Tamiya Avante MK.II shows off a compact, aerodynamic body that nods to classic off-road buggies while staying modern. A small rear spoiler and a vertical fin behind the cockpit give it distinct silhouette and purposeful styling.

Mid Motor MS Chassis Explained

Built on the MS Chassis, the Avante MK.II features a mid-mounted double shaft motor arrangement to keep power delivery efficient. The three piece chassis unclips for easy assembly and maintenance, so swaps and servicing are straightforward.

Upgrade Routes and Swap Options

  • Motor Options: Designed for Type 130 double shaft motors, offering straightforward motor upgrades.
  • Tire Variants: Different diameter tyres can be fitted to match track grip and surface types.
  • Gear Adjustments: The stock 4:1 gear ratio is a changeable starting point for tuning speed versus torque.
  • Weight Tuning: Strategic added weight can help the car stay planted on rough or technical sections.

Adjusting for Different Circuits

The Avante MK.II's modular parts make it simple to alter setup for varying Mini 4WD formats. Adjust gearing, tyres and ballast to balance corner control with straight line performance.

Specifications

  • Chassis Type: MS Chassis
  • Motor Compatibility: Double Shaft Motor
  • Body Style: Off-Road Buggy

With its tuneable MS chassis and classic buggy looks, the Avante MK.II suits hobbyists who enjoy setup work as much as on track performance.

This is my 3rd and largest order from RC Jaz so far and I have to say I've been very impressed with this store. Everything arrived in perfect shape and order, very well packaged and delivered quickly bearing in mind this had to come from the other sid
Yes. By fitting lower grip tyres and fine tuning weight distribution you can make the Avante MK.II perform strongly on smoother indoor track surfaces.
Gearing is user adjustable. Swapping gears to alter the 4:1 baseline lets you favour acceleration or higher top speed depending on track demands.
Routine checks include cleaning gears, confirming axle play is minimal, and ensuring motor brushes and bearings run freely after each session to keep lap times consistent.
