The Tamiya 18615 Manta Ray Mk.II combines vintage Mini 4WD styling with practical engineering from the PRO Series. Built at 1/32 scale, its MS chassis uses a three piece design to give trustworthy stability while the mid-ship motor layout improves weight distribution for smoother cornering.

Aerodynamics and Drive Components

The model features a split rear wing and bold front fenders that help reduce drag and improve straight line stability. The revised N-02 nose assists airflow, while the Type 130 Double Shaft motor works with a 4:1 gear ratio and 16mm rollers to deliver consistent drive and traction on circuit surfaces.

Assembly Tips and Compatibility

No glue is required for assembly which keeps the build clean and easy to customise. The kit supports many Tamiya upgrades for performance tuning or aesthetic changes. Two R6/AA/UM3 batteries are required to run the car and are sold separately.
