This miniature Roborace DevBot 2.0 captures the futuristic look of AI race cars in a compact 1/32 scale. The Tamiya 18656 kit sits on the MA (Midship AERO) chassis to offer a tidy mix of aerodynamic form and practical stability for track use or shelf display.
The MA configuration places the motor centrally to optimise balance and airflow. The build features six low-friction rollers plus a rear skid bar to help keep the model planted through corners. Its monocoque style makes the kit approachable for novices while still giving scope for detailed tuning. A 3.5:1 gear set is included for balanced acceleration.
The body is molded in Flat Black ABS with bright fluorescent orange POM highlights to echo the prototype's accents. The four-piece shell is supplied with decal sheets that recreate racing stripes and instrument graphics. Fitted black fin wheels and low-profile tyres underline the streamlined appearance.
There is plenty of room for Grade-Up Parts to adjust handling or add lightweight components. A Type 130 double shaft motor is supplied, but the kit needs two AA batteries to operate, and these are sold separately.
