The Tamiya 21005 brings the Williams BMW FW24 from the 2002 Japan Grand Prix to the modeller's bench. At 1/20 scale it models J.P. Montoya's machine, showing the streamlined aerodynamics and the BMW P82 engine. The kit lets you construct the rear cowling in open or closed form to expose the engine, transmission and rear links.
WilliamsF1, started by Frank Williams and Patrick Head, built a strong presence in Grand Prix racing after 1977. Their collaboration with BMW from 2000 produced models such as the FW24, which retained visual ties to the FW23 while adding mechanical and aerodynamic refinements plus a higher output BMW P82 engine.
