The Tyrrell P34 remains one of the most unusual Formula One designs, recognised for its six-wheel arrangement. Conceived by Derek Gardner in 1975, the P34 used four smaller front tyres to reduce aerodynamic drag while aiming to retain grip and improve braking. The car debuted at the 1976 Spanish GP and later scored a notable 1-2 finish in Sweden. For the final round at Fuji Speedway, Jody Scheckter's No.3 car featured changes such as a triangular mesh guard over the air intake and larger wingtip pieces.
This Tamiya 21095 model from Tamiya's Masterwork Collection reproduces the P34's 1976 Japan GP appearance with careful attention to historic detail, making it a prized piece for display and study.
