The Tamiya 21149 kit presents the 1981 Honda RS1000 as a finely modelled collector piece. The assembly highlights the bike's distinctive cowling and precise drivetrain components to produce an authentic miniature of the race machine.
The RS1000 succeeded the RCB1000 and used an air cooled 4-stroke DOHC 4-cylinder engine with an output noted as 130hp. This model stays true to the bike's racing roots by replicating its overall lines and performance-oriented design cues.
Compared with a standard assembly kit, this release includes a recontoured fuel tank, relocated headlight and added wiring details. Expert paintwork on the engine and exhaust, together with metallic fork stickers, enhances the model's realism on display.
