The Tamiya 22039 - TA08 Lightweight Front One-Way Set (37T) is engineered for the TA08 4WD chassis. Replacing the stock front gear differential, this one-way allows the front wheels to spin freely during decel and lock under throttle, making it useful for circuits that favour momentum over heavy braking.
Unlike a fixed spool or standard gear differential, this one-way reduces front-end braking during corner entry so the car keeps higher corner velocity through long sweepers. It is not intended for tracks with tight hairpins. For balanced control, combine with lower powered motor setups when possible.
Installing the front one-way removes braking load from the front wheels, improving acceleration response and mid-corner stability. The lighter pulley helps reduce rotational inertia for quicker throttle transitions.
Designed for use on the TA08 PRO platform and also compatible with TA07 and TRF420 chassis types, this unit suits a range of Tamiya touring car projects.
