The 1993 Monte-Carlo victory showcased the Celica GT-Four RC driven by Didier Auriol, a result that stood out against competitors such as Lancia, Ford, Subaru and Mitsubishi. That race is a key chapter in modern rally history.
Under its bonnet the Celica GT-Four RC features a 2-liter, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder DOHC turbocharged engine delivering 299 HP and 45.9 kg/m of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox to manage power delivery.
Another defining system is the electronically controlled torque-splitter which directs drive between the front and rear axles, improving traction on mixed surfaces often found in rally stages.
This Tamiya model kit offers finely moulded parts to reproduce the 1993 Monte-Carlo winning car, including detailed engine and cabin elements. The package comes with rubber-like tyres and waterslide decals for accurate markings.
