The Calsonic Skyline GT-R became an icon during the JGTC series from 1993, challenging both Japanese factory entries and European sportscars. Its reputation was built on race-proven engineering and consistent performance under competitive pressure.
Under the aerodynamic bodywork sat a 2568cc inline six engine with twin turbochargers, rated at roughly 450 hp. The drivetrain featured an X-Trac sequential 6-speed gearbox, and the chassis used suspension concepts that echoed Nissan's earlier Group C racers.
This Tamiya 1/24 model recreates the racing GT-R with detailed moulded components, a faithful cockpit including roll cage detail, and realistic chassis and suspension pieces that reflect the original car's design.
With its distinctive blue paint scheme and large rear wing, the model makes a strong display piece. It appeals to collectors who value historic JGTC liveries and accurate scale engineering in a compact footprint.
