Building the avex Dome Mugen NSX Replica

The Tamiya 24193 - 1/24 avex Dome Mugen NSX lets hobbyists recreate a classic JGTC entry from 1997. Developed by the "mugen + Dome Project" from the Honda NSX, the competition car combined an aluminium monocoque strengthened by a roll cage with carbon fibre bodywork for aerodynamic gains. The kit models the car's distinct aero elements, such as the front spoiler, canard fins and tall rear wing shaped through wind tunnel testing.

The competition NSX used a 3,450cc V6 built by Mugen that delivered north of 450 horsepower. The scale kit does not include a working engine, but it does offer a detailed engine bay, well-detailed interior and under-chassis surfaces for model authenticity. The vivid blue race livery and decal sheet are supplied as waterslide transfers for an accurate finish.
