The Mercedes-Benz SLR722 is more than a superbike-inspired road car; it is a statement of engineering and pace. Produced with design input from McLaren Automotive, the SLR family pairs luxury with track-derived tech. The "722" recalls the historic start time for Moss and Jenkinson in the 1955 Mille Miglia, while the production car uses a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 making roughly 640 horsepower.
Tamiya's 1/24 scale rendition aims to reproduce the SLR722 silhouette and cockpit detail faithfully. The kit suits modellers who enjoy assembling layered components to achieve an authentic miniature of the original vehicle.
Included are synthetic rubber tyres and a bonnet that opens to reveal the supercharged V8. The opening doors allow display of the cabin, and metal transfers provide accurate badge and trim graphics for realistic finishing touches.
