Tamiya 24361: compact 1/24 Toyota GR 86 model overview

The Toyota GR 86 is celebrated for its front-engine, rear-wheel-drive balance and sporty styling cues. Released in April 2021, the road car is powered by a 2.4-litre horizontally opposed four-cylinder unit producing 235 hp. Tamiya's kit reproduces the GR 86 appearance with careful attention to the car's defining lines.

What the build includes and how it assembles

This 1/24 scale kit enables a faithful recreation of the GR 86 form. With dimensions of 178mm length, 74mm width and 55mm height, the parts reflect the car's compact footprint. The kit provides separate components for the fender air outlets, a displayable engine bay under an openable bonnet, and suitably replicated suspension pieces on the chassis.

Attention to Detail

To boost realism, metal transfer decals are supplied for mirror surfaces and certain parts feature metal plating, such as the taillight accents and the muffler. The standard black 10-spoke wheels with synthetic rubber tyres complete the authentic look. Fine brushes and model paints will help highlight the finer details during finishing.
