Fans of vintage Japanese sports cars will appreciate the Tamiya 1/24 scale Nissan Fairlady 240Z Street-Custom, which faithfully captures a car that reshaped the market. First introduced in 1969, the Fairlady Z became popular for its looks and handling, and by 1971 the 240Z variant, powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six, was a standout example of accessible performance.
The kit recreates the classic 240Z styling along with common era modifications. Notable craftsmanship includes a detailed 2,393cc SOHC engine that can be showcased under an opening bonnet. The model also incorporates a lowered suspension profile to reflect the street-custom aesthetic.
Supplied extras include updated decals and metal transfer options for trim accuracy. The RS Watanabe 8-spoke wheels are split into two parts to help with painting and finishing. Builders may choose right-hand drive for the Japanese variant or left-hand drive to represent the North American Datsun release.
