The Tamiya 25151 delivers a 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang finished in a limited silver plating that emphasises panel lines and surface detail. This release combines a collectible look with the manufacturing accuracy expected from Tamiya, suited to display builders and diorama makers.
Renowned for its role in World War II, the P-51D is recreated here with careful attention to period detail. The kit includes photo-etched parts for seat harnesses and the oil cooler and offers four decal schemes, one of which depicts Major Richard Peterson of the 364th Fighter Squadron for historically accurate markings.
Movable ailerons, flaps, elevators and rudder let you pose the model for static display or scene work. The cockpit is modelled with fine detail even though it is not plated, and two pilot figures are supplied so modellers can stage action or maintenance scenes.
