The GAZ-67B earned the nickname "Russian Jeep" for its role with Soviet troops during the Second World War. Drawing design ideas from the US MB Jeep and entering production in January 1941, it was engineered for cross-country mobility and handled duties from scouting to towing small guns. Its service life extended well beyond wartime, used by later Warsaw Pact formations.
Tamiya's 1/48 finished version captures the vehicle's functional layout and surface detail. The kit arrives assembled with restrained weathering to add a used look, while pad-printed insignia and decals provide authentic markings. Heavier spin-cast parts are used where appropriate to give the model a realistic weight for display.
