The Tamiya 1/700 Japanese Aircraft Carrier Zuikaku kit brings a key Shokaku-class ship to the modeller's bench with authentic late-war styling. This kit reflects Zuikaku's service history and lets hobbyists build a convincing representation of the vessel.
Entered service in September 1941, Zuikaku was valued for its speed and aircraft capacity as well as upgraded anti-aircraft armament later in the war. The model depicts the carrier during its final wartime fit, including representative aircraft such as Mitsubishi A6M5 fighters and Yokosuka D4Y bombers.
Moulded parts in grey, black and red make surface painting easier while preserving fine detail on the hull and superstructure. The kit includes aircraft, lifeboats and weapons, making it suitable for display on a shelf or as part of a larger naval diorama.
