This 1/700 representation shows the Japanese Light Cruiser Kuma in its late 1930s appearance. Originally laid down in 1918, the ship is modelled in the 1939-1940 setup, featuring three straight funnels, a straightforward bridge and single 14cm main guns.
Kuma class vessels were used for escort and reconnaissance work. The kit reproduces detailed elements like degaussing wiring and anchor fittings molded into the plastic, and offers options for different armament fits so builders can reflect period variance.
At a finished length of 230mm, this kit balances compact size with accurate detail. Waterslide decals are supplied for authentic markings and a small metal part is provided to assist flotation and presentation on a stand.
