The Cromwell Mk.IV cruiser was recognised for its agility and served across key World War II campaigns. Its 75mm Q.F. Mk.V/VA main gun and mobility made it suitable for fast-moving armoured formations during the push through western Europe.
Tamiya's 1/48 rendition captures the Cromwell's external profile, showing the turret rivets and straight hull plates. The model accurately portrays the road wheel layout used for higher road speeds, and many external fittings are moulded separately for precise assembly and painting.
The inclusion of a die-cast chassis contributes to a solid build feel and better balance for shelf display. The tracks are built to recreate realistic sag and the kit offers an optional rear cowling plus three marking schemes for different wartime vehicles.
