This Tamiya 1/48 Panzer 38(t) Ausf.E/F model captures a historically significant light tank in manageable scale. Originating from a Czech design, the 38(t) was taken into Wehrmacht service after Czechoslovakia was occupied and performed reliably during early wartime campaigns, including the Polish campaign and Operation Barbarossa.
The vehicle mounted a 37mm main gun and two MG37(t) machine guns. A six cylinder engine enabled top speeds near 42 km/h. Ausf.E/F examples, produced from November 1940 to October 1941, featured strengthened armor plating to improve battlefield survivability. The kit reproduces these key elements faithfully.
Inside you will find sprues of finely moulded parts, water-slide decals, and a weight to add realism to the completed model. A tank commander torso is included for display. Fittings such as towing cables, tools and riveted armour are modelled in detail, and there are two historical marking options to choose from.
