The Tamiya 1/35 German Panther Medium Tank kit reproduces the vehicle's lines and fittings with clarity. This static model highlights the Panther's reputation on the WWII battlefield, including its 75mm gun and sloped armor profile.
Introduced in 1942, the Panther was a Daimler-Benz and M.A.N. response to changing combat requirements. The initial 35-ton target was later exceeded as armor was strengthened, and the Maybach HL230 engine became the common powerplant. The kit shows the Panther's development from early Type D variants to the improved Type G and notes its engagements with Soviet heavy armour such as the JS II.
Designed as a display model, the kit includes two crew figures to add life to a scene, flexible tracks for lifelike positioning, and a finely moulded gun barrel. Waterslide decals are supplied and the instruction booklet guides builders through a rewarding assembly process.
