The Sturmgeschuetz IV provided direct armoured support to infantry during the Second World War. Originating from earlier tank chassis developments, it was adapted to offer a low-profile, powerful gun platform. This Tamiya model reproduces that machine with careful attention to form and surface detail.
Developed so infantry could rely on their own heavy firepower, the Sturmgeschuetz IV traces its roots through Panzer design evolution. Production reached around 1,000 units, which were deployed in key operations, particularly on the Eastern Front where their firepower was in demand.
The 1/35 scale kit presents crisp exterior moulding, a prominent assault gun assembly and authentic rubber track parts. The model includes details such as Zimmerit texture and structural elements that enhance a finished display.
