The Tiger I made a strong impression on World War II battlefields, and the Tamiya 35146 captures that presence in 1/35 scale. This late version model reflects wartime changes and gives modellers an accurate platform for a historically informed build.
From January 1944 the Tiger I adopted a range of updates. The model accurately presents the 88mm KwK36(L/56) main gun, the heavy armor layout with sections up to around 100mm, and the steel-rimmed roadwheels that defined its running gear.
Other reproduced items include the updated commander's cupola featuring seven vision ports, the anti-aircraft machine gun mount, and improved turret fittings for a close-to-original look.
Assembly of the Tamiya 35146 rewards careful preparation and tidy joins. The kit's parts offer good fit and detail, so patience during painting and weathering will reveal a convincing late-war Tiger I that suits shelves or diorama scenes.
