The Jagdpanther stands out as a German World War II tank destroyer built on the Panther chassis, combining strong armament with solid protection. The late version carries the Pak43/3, L71 88mm gun inside a squared superstructure and features 80mm frontal armour and 50mm angled side plates. The mantlet, called "Saukopf", measures about 100mm, adding further frontal protection.
Powered by a Maybach V12, the vehicle weighed roughly 46 tons and balanced mobility with survivability. Series production started in January 1944 at the MIAG works, and subsequent builds incorporated battlefield-driven updates like larger idler wheels and better crew heating. The Jagdpanther first saw action in Normandy in June 1944, with a total of 415 produced by April 1945.
