The Tamiya 35211 reproduces the JS-3 Stalin Russian Heavy Tank at 1/35 scale as a display kit. It captures the machine that made a strong impression during the Berlin victory parade on September 7, 1945, notable for its single-piece cast turret and pronounced bow shape.
The JS-3 brought a new silhouette to Soviet armour, mounting a 122mm L/43 gun similar to the JS-2. Its diesel powerplant delivered about 520 horsepower and speeds up to 40 km/h. While its combat presence in Europe is debated, evidence points to deployment in Manchuria against Japanese forces in August 1945. The hull and turret layout influenced later tank designs.
With more than 210 parts moulded in dark green plastic, this kit is aimed at model builders seeking accurate external detail. It includes separate suspension arms for correct track geometry, one-piece rubber tracks for cleaner fitting, and optional turret hatch parts. A small commander figure is supplied for scene building.
