The M26 Pershing entered service in the closing months of World War II to meet the threat of heavier German armour, mounting a 90mm gun for increased firepower. Debuting in Europe in February 1945, the Pershing later saw action in Korea against T34/85 opponents.
Tamiya's 1/35 rendition captures the tank's profile and surface detail, featuring the long 90mm barrel and separate engine grille components. The kit has an overall length of 245mm and presents realistic cast-metal textures on the hull and turret.
Options include fitting crew hatches open or closed and utilising the movable suspension to fit diorama contours. Included extras such as two crew figures, ammunition boxes and decals for four marking schemes expand display choices.
