The Somua S35 was a key French cavalry tank from the mid 1930s, noted for its bolted cast hull and powerful armament. It carried a 47mm main gun and a 190hp V8 petrol engine, supporting top speeds close to 40 km/h. Some 430 machines were produced between 1936 and June 1940 and they saw action in Belgium and Northern France during the early war campaigns.
The model reproduces the S35 in 1/35 scale and focuses on realistic components. The kit shows the leaf-sprung suspension with four bogies each fitted with two wheels, and it provides link-type assembly tracks to replicate the tank's original track system.
As a display piece this kit offers solid historical value. The finished model measures 153mm in length by 63mm across, and decal sheets include three marking choices so builders can represent different units or field examples.
