The Tamiya 35370 represents the Marder I tank destroyer, produced from a converted Lorraine tractor. Only around 170 were built, and they served in several WWII theatres including operations after the Normandy landings, on the Eastern Front and in North Africa.
At 1/35 scale the model reproduces the Marder I's short chassis and the distinctive bulging upper hull, including crisp rivet and weld detailing. The interior is well represented with parts for the gun breech, sighting gear, storage racks and radio set, offering an engaging build. Assembly-style tracks come in single-piece straight sections, paired with user-friendly bogies to streamline construction.
The kit includes three decal schemes - two from Normandy and one for the Eastern Front - letting builders pick a historical theatre. Two crew figures are included, posed as observers, adding narrative to a finished display. This kit suits both display collectors and those wanting a hands-on slice of wartime machinery.
