The Tamiya 37021 kit presents a faithful 1/35 rendition of the M107, a 175mm long-range artillery piece first developed in 1956 and widely used during the Vietnam conflict. The model highlights the open-top fighting compartment, prominent barrel and hydraulic spade, reflecting the vehicle's operational use including actions around Khe Sanh in 1968.
This version builds on classic Italeri moulding while adding new Tamiya-crafted parts for better fit. Expect detailed elements such as jerry can mounts, authentic hydraulic piping and track links suited to glue or cementing. Vinyl tubing is included for pipework and the kit bundles Tamiya figures plus M16A1 rifle details to stage realistic scenes.
Decal sheets include two Vietnam-era liveries and the rear spade can be modelled in either a stowed or deployed position. The kit lends itself to weathering techniques and small-scale conversion work to make a convincing diorama subject.
