Yes, when fitted to metal gear servos with bearings it tolerates higher torque, but ensure the servo case and mount are solid.

Does the horn require special screws?

The package includes two 5mm cap screws for secure attachment. Use those screws and check tightness after initial runs.

Is a servo saver needed with this horn?

A servo saver is not used with a direct horn. If you need shock isolation, consider a different linkage setup or choose a servo saver style horn.
