Purpose-built for big-wheel off-road action

The Tamiya 44025 - 1/10 Mad Bison Big Wheel (TG10) delivers classic glow-engine monster truck dynamics. It matches the FS-15LT motor with a design aimed at racers and enthusiasts who favour large tyres and solid off-road handling.

Stiff double-deck duralumin frame

The TGM-01 chassis uses a 2.5mm duralumin plate in a double-deck layout to give torsional strength and predictable handling. A polypropylene undercowl shields the underside from mud and stones encountered on rough runs.

Four-wheel independent handling

The independent double wishbone suspension helps the wheels track uneven ground, absorbing impacts to keep traction. Combined with a 1:16.25 gear ratio, the setup assists the truck in powering up inclines and maintaining momentum on trails.

Dependable FS-15LT powertrain

The FS-15LT engine included with the kit is noted for steady power delivery and durability. Improvements to the spur and counter gears smooth the drivetrain and help transfer engine output to the wheels with less loss.

Choose your radio and servos

The Mad Bison ships without a radio control unit so owners can select Tamiya R/C gear or a two-channel, two-servo system to suit their preferences and budget, enabling customised control feel.

Overall, the Mad Bison is a versatile big-wheel kit suited to hobbyists who want a reliable glow-engine truck for trail driving and club racing alike.

Wash the clear shell, scuff the inside lightly, mask edges and use polycarbonate paints. Allow adequate curing time before fitting to avoid paint damage from vibrations.
The wheel and hub sizes limit extreme tyre upsizing, but modestly taller tyres can be used if they do not interfere with steering or suspension travel.
Tamiya replacement parts for common wear items such as suspension arms, gears and body mounts are generally available, making repairs straightforward.
Inspect the spur and counter gears regularly, keep gear mesh correct, and check bearings and shafts for wear to maintain efficient power transfer.
With the right tuning and radio setup, the Mad Bison can be run in club-level off-road events where big-wheel classes are accepted.
