Small Footprint ESC for 1/10 Brushed Cars

The Tamiya 45072 - TEU-107BK Electronic Speed Controller is a compact speed control designed for hobbyists running brushed 1/10 models. It supports forward and reverse drive and is straightforward to set up, making it a practical choice for weekend builders and club racers. The ESC works with four AA cells or common Ni-Cd/Ni-MH battery packs.

Fine-Tuneable Drive Modes

The TEU-107BK includes seven selectable drive patterns so you can tune throttle response to different track or surface conditions. Settings include full forward with adjustable reverse behaviour and a direct-reverse option without braking, all adjusted through the onboard button interface.

Durability and Safety Measures

Safety functions protect the system from low battery voltage and overheating, along with overload and voltage protection. LED and alarm notifications make it easy to spot a no-signal condition or when protection is triggered.

Basic setup is recommended to match throttle endpoints and neutral position, but the ESC will operate with default settings out of the box.
The TEU-107BK is intended for brushed motors, with suitable performance on motors at or above 23T. It is not for brushless motors.
Use appropriate Ni-Cd or Ni-MH packs rated 6.6V-7.2V for heavier runs and monitor battery condition. The low voltage protection helps prevent deep discharge.
