The Tamiya Grasshopper returns in the Expert-Semi-Assembled X-SA lineup, giving RC fans a fast route to driving a revered 2WD buggy. The model comes with the painted body in place so you can focus on tuning and track time rather than a lengthy build.
X-SA models are for builders who appreciate model authenticity but prefer a quicker start. Each car is assembled to factory standards and carries correct decal work on the finished shell. The fitted TEU-105BK ESC means the Grasshopper is electrically prepared once you add your radio and battery.
At 1/10 scale the Grasshopper measures 389mm long, 223mm wide and 135mm high. The styrene shell wears the 2005 Grasshopper paint scheme familiar to collectors. The straightforward 2WD layout includes a sealed gearbox with differential, paddle rear tyres and grooved fronts for balanced grip.
Front independent swing axle and a rear rigid axle are supported by coil-sprung dampers to manage bumps and jumps. This setup helps the buggy remain composed over grass, park trails, and compacted dirt circuits.
Tamiya Grasshopper X-SA 46704 captures retro appeal while cutting build time, making it a good match for collectors who want regular runs and newcomers who prefer a straightforward start.
