The Tamiya 48214 1/35 British Mk.IV Male WWI RC Tank recreates a formative armoured vehicle with careful attention to historical traits. The Mk.IV Male was produced around March 1917 onwards, with roughly 1,000 examples built and notable deployment including the large-scale action at Cambrai in November 1917.
At 1/35 scale the model measures 230mm by 143mm and arrives with detailed fittings such as an unhitching log complete with metal chain plus accessory items like a fuel box and tow rope. The radio pack uses a TTU-10 transmitter and MC-07 receiver/motor control unit with integrated antennas. Dual gearboxes and Type 130 motors are supplied pre-assembled to enable forward, reverse and turning motion, and the transmitter offers four speed settings to tune behaviour for display or running sessions.
Model builders can choose from three period-accurate markings: Option A shows Glamorgan of G Battalion in 1918, Option B depicts H45 Hyacinth from H Battalion near Ribecourt in November 1917, and Option C represents Black Arrow II of B Battalion at Fontaine-Notre-Dame in November 1917, letting you match specific historical machines.
Built for those who enjoy historical modelling and reliable RC function, the Tamiya 48214 Mk.IV Male mixes scale realism with usable radio control features.
