Lightweight Shaft Upgrade for TL-01

If you want crisper response from a TL-01 chassis, the Tamiya 53322 Hollow Carbon Gear Shaft set is a straightforward upgrade. Built from carbon fibre, the hollow shafts transfer motor output to the drivetrain while keeping overall weight down.

Reduced Rotational Mass

The hollow carbon design lowers rotating weight, which helps the car accelerate more promptly and feel more responsive under throttle. The material choice also maintains stiffness where it matters in the drivetrain.

• One 25mm carbon gear shaft
• Two 40mm carbon gear shafts
• One 30mm carbon gear shaft

Each piece is machined to fit the TL-01 family including TL01B and Stadium Raider as direct replacements. A 5mm outer diameter means they work with standard gears and bearings without modification.

Assembly Notes

Fit eight 5x11mm bearings when installing these shafts to ensure correct support for the idler, spur and countergear shafts. Inspect bearing seating and alignment after first runs to prevent binding.
