Fine tune handling with the Tamiya universal shaft

Tamiya's Assembly Universal Shaft fits TT-01 and TA04 chassis and provides a focused upgrade for improved drivetrain efficiency. Unlike standard dog bone setups, the universal design helps maintain power transfer while steering, producing steadier cornering behavior.

Smoother steering, reduced drivetrain wear

By reducing lateral friction during steering, the universal shaft makes the car feel more predictable and cuts down on premature wear to gears and coupling parts. That delivers longer component life with regular running.

Straightforward fitment for common Tamiya platforms

Specifically made for TT-01 and TA04 models, the part integrates into the stock layout without heavy modification, making it a practical choice for hobbyists who want better response without a complex overhaul.

It is designed for TT-01 and TA04. Other models may need adapters or different mount points, so check compatibility before fitting.
Drivers usually notice cleaner steering feel and improved mid-corner stability rather than dramatic speed changes.
Use light, RC-appropriate grease on mating surfaces and avoid heavy oils that attract dirt. Check the joints periodically.
The shaft itself does not change gear mesh, but inspect the drivetrain after installation to ensure alignment remains correct.
