Refine Your TT-01 Setup with Tamiya 54026 Aluminum Parts

The Tamiya 54026 Aluminum Propeller Shaft & Joint replaces the factory plastic pieces on the TT-01 Type E to deliver improved durability. It is aimed at hobbyists wanting a more robust drivetrain without extensive modification.

Why Aluminium Makes a Difference

Aluminium parts trade a small weight penalty for much greater stiffness and wear resistance. Upgrading to an aluminium propeller shaft reduces twisting under load and helps the transmission of power from the motor to the wheels more efficiently.

Compatibility Notes and Installation Tips

Designed specifically for the TT-01 Type E chassis, the Tamiya 54026 fits the intended mounting points and mates with the existing drivetrain. Installation is straightforward and suited to modders with basic workshop skills.

Practical Advantages for Everyday Use

Whether you run timed laps or enjoy casual blasting, the aluminium shaft and joint improve drivetrain longevity and can result in a steadier feel when accelerating and cornering.

Excellent service, dispatched the next day, arrived within time stated.
This kit is optimised for the Type E configuration. Older TT-01s might need different mounting parts or minor tweaks to accept the aluminium shaft.
No special hardware is normally required. Standard hand tools and any screws provided with the kit will allow a clean swap.
After installation, rotate the drivetrain by hand to check for binding and recheck fastener tightness after the first run to ensure everything beds in correctly.
The shaft does not change suspension geometry, but stiffer drivetrain behaviour can lead to more predictable throttle-on handling.
