For drivers chasing consistent lap times the Tamiya 54938 Brass Adjustable Suspension Mounts give a sensible upgrade path. Compatible with TRF420, TRF419, TA07 and TB-05 chassis, the brass pieces increase mass over aluminium and can improve traction and chassis feel at speed.

Multiple Mount Shapes for Setup Work

The package contains three mount variants with differing dimensions so you can experiment with ride characteristics. A sprue of seven bushing pairs includes varied hole sizes for the suspension shafts, offering 25 possible shaft offset positions to refine roll centre and handling balance.

Where They Work Best

Designed to integrate with Tamiya TRF420, TRF419, TA07 and TB-05 platforms, these mounts let you shift between XD and X type placements. Combining mounts and bushings alters toe and weight distribution to match grip levels and driving style.

Adding weight can slightly affect acceleration, but on most circuits the gain in stability and corner speed offsets any minor loss on the straights.
Start with the neutral bushing position and log lap times. Move one notch at a time toward more or less offset and compare handling through corners to find the best compromise.
You can reuse suitable bushings if they match the required bore size, but using the included sprue ensures all sizes are on hand for tuning trials.
In most cases the stock shocks work fine, but you may want to adjust spring rate or damping to account for the added mass and altered roll characteristics.
