Tamiya uses exacting injection moulding to recreate the Scania cab, including fine features like the auxiliary machinery tower, fuel and air tanks. The metal-rich chassis contributes to authenticity and reproduces both the twin front-axle steering and the double rear-axle drive arrangement.
True-to-Life Suspension and Transmission
The model includes metal leaf springs and an operational lift axle to mimic the real truck's suspension behaviour. A three-speed assembly transmission offers staged gear changes when paired with a separately purchased 4-channel transmitter for a convincing driving feel.
