This coupler lock serves as an RC-scale replacement for Tamiya Tractor Trucks 56505. The black aluminum construction is chosen to provide a balance of strength and light weight while helping to minimise play at the trailer coupling interface.

Fitting is carried out in the same mounting position as the factory coupler fastener: remove the original fastener, place the coupler lock into the mounting hole, and secure using the factory screws. Typical hex drivers and workshop hand tools are all that are required for a proper fit.
