Classic Military Model Updated for Modern Days

The Tamiya 57828 - 1/10 RC XB RTR Fast Attack Vehicle (2011) revives a military-inspired icon with thoughtful updates for current hobbyists. Offered as a ready-to-run kit, it removes the barriers to entry so you can drive straight from the box.

Authentic Look with Durable Build

This reissue keeps the original aesthetic while using a robust resin body mounted on an ABS bathtub chassis with a roll cage for rigidity. A crew figure and M60 machine gun are included to enhance realism for display and diorama use.

Handling and Ground Contact

The front semi-pneumatic grooved tyres and block-pattern rear tyres give balanced grip across mixed surfaces. Independent suspension at all four corners, with coil springs and trailing arms, helps the vehicle track smoothly and absorb small bumps. The enclosed gearbox shields the drivetrain from muck and grit.

Ready Electronics and Motor Setup

It comes fitted with a Finespec 2.4GHz radio system for dependable control. The Johnson/Mabuchi 540-J brushed motor provides straightforward, maintainable power, while the TEU-105BK ESC with BEC offers tidy speed control for both relaxed running and spirited driving.

Very little. The model is factory assembled with electronics installed, so you only need to fit the battery and perform basic checks before running.
Replacement resin bodies and some trim parts are available through Tamiya dealers and parts suppliers, useful for repairs or display projects.
The electric motor runs from a 7.2V NiMH battery pack. No fuel is needed; just charge the battery for electric operation.
Yes. The detailed body, soldier figure and weapon make it a good display piece, while the RTR electronics make it fully functional for driving sessions.
