The McLaren Senna stunned crowds at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show and pays tribute to Ayrton Senna with extreme aerodynamic design. Its production run was limited to 500 units, and the real car uses a 4-liter twin-turbo V8 rated around 800PS. Tamiya reproduces that silhouette in a detailed 1/10 polycarbonate body that highlights the Senna's aggressive lines.
The TT-02 chassis is valued for its simple, dependable layout. The shaft-driven 4WD uses a longitudinal setup that balances weight by placing the battery on the left and the motor on the right. Identical suspension pieces simplify assembly and parts stocking, while adjustable wheelbase, ride height and track options along with ten gear ratio choices let you dial in handling.
The kit includes a polycarbonate body sculpted to match the car, plus ABS side mirrors and a rear wing to enhance realism. Large urethane bumpers add protection and the kit rides on 10-spoke gun-metal wheels with racing radial tyres. Painting and sticker work are required, making this a satisfying project for anyone who enjoys custom finishes.
This kit blends accurate Senna styling with the flexible TT-02 platform, giving modders and scale fans a solid base for setup work and cosmetic customization.
