This updated Super Sabre recaptures the look of the classic while introducing practical tweaks for modern running. The body arrives pre-cut and painted in silver, letting you focus on the build and getting out on track sooner.
The model keeps its iconic form but upgrades handling with a shaft-driven 4WD system for steady traction. The polycarbonate shell is 0.7mm thick and includes a separate wing to improve stability through corners.
The car uses a fully independent double wishbone suspension paired with CVA short dampers II to soak up bumps and keep tyres planted. A front stabilizer helps reduce roll, and the ABS bathtub chassis with reinforced parts makes servicing straightforward.
Although it shares family traits with other Tamiya models, this Super Sabre differs in body panels and damper stay geometry. Those distinctions change airflow and shock layout, giving a slightly different on-track feel compared with the Boomerang.
The kit is well suited to hobbyists starting out and collectors wanting a buildable retro model. The specification lists a 540 brushed motor; take note that you will need to supply an ESC and other radio gear to complete the car.
Tamiya 58728-60A Super Sabre blends retro styling with serviceable mechanicals, offering a satisfying build and enjoyable handling for club runs and displays.
