This detailed Stegosaurus model brings the Jurassic era to your bench with faithful shaping of the plates and tail spikes. The animal lived in the late Jurassic, around 150 million years ago, and could reach about six metres while grazing in vegetated wetlands.
Tamiya has reproduced the species anatomy with careful proportions and textured skin. The components come molded in light gray plastic offering a tidy canvas for colour and shading. The skin detail has a rippled look to help create naturalistic weathering effects.
Designed to suit a range of skill levels, the kit snaps together cleanly though glue is optional. The pictorial instructions explain assembly steps and painting pointers. Once finished, the model suits standalone display or placement in a small-scale diorama.
